Rustam Khan: S/O Noakhali || C. Murugan

We are meant to stand by one another. Yet, in troubled times, a haunting question arises: does religion exist for humanity, or humanity for religion? From Calcutta to Noakhali, that question unsettles a society struggling to recognise itself.
Amid this turmoil, young Rustam Khan of Lamchar dreams of Nilanjana, the daughter of zamindar. Between them stand the formidable barriers of religion and class and the gathering flames of political unrest. Seeking his fortune in Calcutta, Rustam is drawn back to Noakhali by a twist of fate. But can he fulfil his dreams while confronting the communal hatred engulfing his home and the world beyond?
Love now carries another burden: the duty to save lives. As those around him choose their enemies by faith, Rustam must decide where he stands. What’s his priority? What does it cost to remain human in a world consumed by hatred and shadowed by death?
Set against a bloodstained chapter of history, C. Murugan’s ‘Rustam Khan : S/O NOAKHALI’ is a moving tale of love, courage and humanity-and the choices that put them to the test.
